Dr. Nguyen Blake Lam was born in Kien Giang, Vietnam and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and earned his medical degree. (M.D.) He then furthered his education by attending the prestigious University of Health San Antonio School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. (D.D.S.) degree. While in dental school, he participated in the oral surgery honors program and was on the class executive committee. During his dental school training, Dr. Lam was accepted to train at Parkland Memorial Hospital, globally considered one of the premier training sites for oral & maxillofacial surgery. He served as the chief resident at Parkland Memorial Hospital, University of Texas – Southwestern Center, Children’s Dallas VA Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital, John Peter Smith Hospital, Cook Children’s, and Zale Lipshy Hospital.
